Retirement of Officers

On March 28, 2017, the Commissioners and Employees of Housing Authority of Brevard County attended a luncheon honoring two very special people.

Sally Morocco and Ron Lewis retired after serving our tenants, landlords, Commissioners, fellow employees, and the community at large with distinction and excellence.

Sally Morocco was hired on April 8, 1985 and retires as our Compliance Officer.  Sally is very respected by our HCV department for the years she served as our HCV Director.

Everyone will miss her wit and charm and especially being able to draw from her extensive knowledge that she has willingly shared with all of us in any area we requested.

Ron Lewis was hired on January 2, 2003 and retires as Chief Operating Officer.  He has served next to our CEO, Michael Bean, tirelessly through the years and has been instrumental to our daily operations and long range planning.  He has also served as Human Resources expert and genuinely cares for each employee and their families.  His motto is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

We celebrated and laughed and hugged and enjoyed being together for this momentous occasion.  We wish them well in the next chapter of their lives.  We know that our loss is their families gain and we are so happy for all of them.

Please enjoy a few pictures we wanted to share to commemorate this spectacular moment in these wonderful lives!
