Doing Business with HABC
HABC procures a variety of goods, services (including construction), supplies and equipment, such as:
- Construction, consulting and professional services
- Architectural, engineering, financial, investment, and legal services;
- Affordable housing development new construction, and rehabilitation;
- Office equipment, including computers, printers, and copiers;
- Temporary employment services; and
- Building maintenance, landscaping, plumbing, painting, uniform supplies, storage,
trash disposal, janitorial, security, and travel services.
Methods of Procurement
Informal Solicitations
HABC occasionally solicits contracts that do not require a formal solicitation process. HABC’s policy is to obtain a minimum of three quotes for each contract that is $50,000 or less.
Formal Solicitations
Contracts for goods and services valued in excess of $50,000 will be solicited through a formally advertised and competitive bidding process.
HABC publicizes these Invitations for Bids (IFBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and/or Notices of Funding Availability (NOFAs) in local newspapers and other print media of local and/or general circulation.
